Presenting an Online Show means that you would like to organize, promote and help facilitate an Online Show. This provides artists someone who can help spread the word and promote an Online Show. A Presenter may have access to a mailing list, social media channels with a large following, budget for marketing, and can aid in the monitoring of ticket sales, audio/visual/streaming setup, as well as moderating an Online Show during the live stream.
To search for Artists:
Log in to Side Door, and make sure you have selected the Presenter Profile that you would like to have associated with the Online Show (click on your profile icon at the top right of the screen to swap profiles, if needed).
There are two ways to search Artists:
At the top left of the platform, select Browse and then Artists. This option provides an index of the entire Artist catalogue. You can also search the Artist page by keyword, simply type into the search bar on the left of the Artist page.
Select Manage near the top of the platform. Click Connect in the pink bar that appears. Artist profiles will display on the search page according to your Presenter preferences—these are artists that match your profile preferences, and should be good candidates for you to work with!
If an artist has entered their date ranges and desired tour locations near you, you will also see those availabilities listed next to their profiles.
From here you can listen to an Artist’s top tracks via Spotify (if provided) and view their photos.
To see more about an Artist, click View Profile. To connect with an Artist, click Message.
When messaging an Artist, it’s helpful to tell them a little bit about yourself, and what you have in mind for working together. It can start simple, with a date/time and the type of Online Show you’d like to put together. It’s up to you, but it is helpful for Artists to get a broader picture of who they’re talking to.
After messaging an Artist, they will receive a notification in their Connections Tab. You don’t need to do anything else for now. In turn, you will receive a notification if and when the Artist messages you back, and will then be able to begin the Online Show Booking Process.
